181 South Walnut Street, Hagerstown, Maryland
While it seems like it's been a long time since anything has been done,
please know that the Committee is diligently working behind the scenes
trying to get done what needs to be done.
We are still waiting for the black granite to arrive from Africa,
but, in the meantime ...

One of the things being added to the monument site are brick columns at the entrance way.
We are not sure who did the actual work - they were like ghost bricklayers - we never saw the people who did this, all we saw was the aftermath of their work.
(Nice job, by the way!)

While riding past the site on October 17, 2018, we noticed a Valentine Electric truck parked at the site and that work was being done.
Stopping to see what was happening, we discovered that the foundations were being built for the light poles.

Baby steps ... but then again ...
to coin a phrase ...
Rome wasn't built in a day.
Stay tuned for the next steps ...
